Mary Shelley was brought up in a house full of radical thinkers – poets, philosophers and writers. At 16 she eloped with Percy Byssche Shelley embarking upon a relationship lived across Europe, coping with infidelity, debt and the death of three children before early widowhood. While still a teenager, Mary composed her extraordinary novel Frankenstein. What were her influences?
