Landfill

in conversation with Nick Fisher
A Little Toller Books Event
Landfill is a ground-breaking book which confronts the extraordinary life of a waste-making species – the seagull – and the people that watch them. In conversation with Nick Fisher, Tim Dee explains that what we consider pests, violent “bin chickens” and worse are in fact complex seabirds with a surprising success story in the anthropocene. Gulls have inveigled their way into our lives because we make rubbish and Tim offers an alternative way of treating our ‘neighbours’.
LITTLE TOLLER BOOKS is a local independent publisher (www.littletoller.co.uk) specialising in the revival of nature writing of another era and commissioning new books on the subject. Bridlit is delighted that the LTB team have curated a series of talks in the newly restored Literary and Scientific Institute in Bridport.
