The Bridport Literary Festival 2018

We welcome back one of our favourite authors, Christopher Nicholson, whose novel about Thomas Hardy’s last love: Winter won enormous critical acclaim some years ago.

He returns to Bridlit with his latest book: Among The Summer Snows, a profound meditation on nature and mortality, in which the survival of the old snow connects with the author’s personal experiences of loss and joy. After a long hot summer searching for the last snows of winter in the Scottish Highlands, Nicholson explores his lifelong fascination and exploration of mountains and chronicles his journey with an exquisite offering of prose and photography.
